My Mission: Creating Law Firms Where Millennials Thrive and Contribute

JP Box_headshot.jpeg

Welcome! My name is JP Box.  I am a lawyer, consultant, and author of the book, The Millennial Lawyer: How Your Firm Can Motivate and Retain Young Associates (ABA 2018). My goal is to help law firms understand how to attract, motivate, and retain top young associates. My experiences and expertise will guide your firm towards a new culture where everyone (from Boomer and Gen X partners to Millennial associates) works together effectively and harmoniously.

Why choose me as your guide? Quite simply, I've lived the life of a young lawyer and understand the practice and business of law. Combined with my research into the Millennial generation, my background in law allows me to place generational trends within a healthy law firm culture. Importantly, I can help you and your firm unlock the talents of the youngest generation of lawyers.

In addition to my work directly with lawyers and their firms, I have been a featured speaker at bar association events, ABA conferences, and Am Law 100 gatherings. I have also written extensively about Millennials in the law for numerous publications, including Law Practice Today, Law Technology Today, The Colorado Lawyer, and The Georgetown Law Magazine.

Why now? Millennials are the largest working group in the US and, by 2025, will represent over half of all lawyers. Cracking the Millennial code is not a luxury, but a necessity, for those law firms that will thrive in a changing legal marketplace.
